We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Trauma Surgery team at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN!
Position Details:
- Full-time, Day shift
- Primarily working with 1 arthroplasty surgeon who does hip and knee total joint replacement
- No call
- Primarily Inpatient 75%
- Team includes 9 physicians and 9 advanced providers
- Patient census of approximately 30/wk in hospital and 15/wk in office
Key Responsibilities:
- New consults
- Inpatient evaluation/rounding
- Minimal first assist in the OR
- 2-3 days of clinic and inpatient rounding
- Pre-op assessment and patient consent before surgery
- Procedural requirements: Aspirations, Joint Injections, Application of splits and casts
Qualifications:
- ACNP, AGNP, FNP, or PA certification required
- Candidate must be motivated, proactive and a hard worker
- Candidate must have the skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- APP experienced required
- APP experience in orthopedic trauma or hip/knee arthroplasty surgery preferred
