About the Role:
Nurse Educator - Neuro Critical Care & Intermediate Care
Full-Time
NGHS is seeking an experienced Nurse Educator to support our Neuro Critical Care and Neuro Intermediate Care (IMC) units. This role is central to staff development, education, and advancing the highest standards of neuro patient care.
About the Units
Neuro Critical Care: High-acuity care for patients with ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, post-op neurosurgical recovery, seizures, and neuro-trauma.
Neuro IMC: 16-bed stroke unit caring for patients requiring thrombolytics, continuous EEG, complex neuro diagnoses (Guillain-Barre, Myasthenia Gravis, ALS), and hemodynamic support.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver orientation, education, and competency programs for Neuro Critical Care and IMC teams
Provide clinical expertise and coaching at the bedside
Support shared governance, unit practice councils, and quality improvement initiatives
Mentor staff and promote professional growth in neuro-focused practice
Qualifications
Required: RN license (GA), BSN, 3+ years RN experience (neuro/critical care preferred), certification in clinical or education specialty, professional organization membership
Preferred: Master's degree, NPD-BC certification, prior education/staff development experience, ANPD membership
