UCHealth has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with our well-reputed Cardiac Critical Care team in Northern Colorado.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing personalized, evidence-based patient care at the highest level. We are looking for someone who is a good team-player, has great communications skills, eager to learn, hard-worker and has a passion for the cardiac care patient population.
REQUIRED:
*Ideally 2-3 years of Critical Care or ICU experience preferred.
*Cardiac or Cardiac Surgery experience preferred.
*Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, works well in a team environment, is able to work autonomously and is adaptable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Exclusively inpatient care. Inpatient care is at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO
*Includes management of Cardiac Critical Care ICU and PCU patients in collaboration with Cardiac Surgeons, Cardiologists, and Pulmonary Critical Care Physicians.
*Coordinates with other health care professionals.
*This role is a flex shift. There will be requirements for days and nights in a regular rotation to allow for 24/7 coverage for the ICU and cardiac surgery. The request is for 3 12-hour shifts weekly, plus one 8-hour shift every other week to be at 1.0 FTE.

*The pay range for this full-time position is $104,416 - $149,1360 annually. Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience. If applicable, a quality and/or productivity bonus may be offered.

Requirements for Nurse Practitioners
*Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
*Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or Nurse PractitionerCertification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
*Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing in the state of Colorado or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement
*Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges
*Provisional prescriptive authority working towards full prescriptive authority or Full prescriptive authority
*Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in practice.
*Eligible to provide services reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
*Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspectors General (HHS/OIG) or the General Services Administration's (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
*Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
*Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Requirements for Physician Assistants
*Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
*Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado.
*Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment
*Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.
*Eligible to provide services reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
*Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspectors General (HHS/OIG) or the General Services Administration's (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
*Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges.
*Prescriptive authority
*Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
*Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
