SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for assuring that the care provided for the injured patient and family by the interdisciplinary team for clinical care coordination meets the Standards set forth by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems foundation (PTSF). Serves as a trauma resource throughout the continuation of care fostering coordinated care as well as addressing trauma program goals. The Quality Specialist will assist the Trauma Program Manager to assure that the trauma performance improvement activities are met including, but noy limited to, education, outreach, research, injury prevention and outpatient care coordination. Pediatric Trauma experience is not required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a Master's degree in Nursing required.
- 3 years clinical experience with demonstrated success in quality initiatives required.
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Case Management experience preferred
- Experience in Performance Improvement concepts and application of injured populations preferred.
- Excellent communication and computer skills required.
