Parkview Physicians Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our practice that employs excellent diplomatic communication skills. An interested candidate should have the ability to collaborate with intra-interdepartmental team members as well as community organizations or members. A qualified candidate would have the ability to multitask and utilize critical thinking skills to best serve our patients.
Schedule and Responsibilities
- 5a-5:30pm (occasional 7a-7:30pm) Weekends and Holidays on rotation (1:3) No call.
- Inpatient Setting at PRMC
- Work location at PRMC with some outreach clinics
- Great collaboration with our 6 other neurology NP's and our Neurologists
- Opportunity to participate in quality improvements and patient care initiatives
- Procedures including intubations, arterial and central line placement. Collaboration with Attending physician for clinical rounds, family conversations, documentation and procedural training/oversight.
- Day to Day includes Acute patient management of ICU level conditions including stroke, recurrent seizures, neuromuscular emergencies, neuro-prognostication after cardiac arrest, and post-operative neurosurgical management.
- Neurocritical care is a primary service for acutely ill neurologically impaired patients while also serving as a consultative service for neurological problems within the ICU population.
- The NCC team is engaged with unit leadership for nursing education, dedicated to process and quality improvement initiatives within the ICU, while also dedicated to Neuroscience service line activities such as Strike Out Stroke, the Stanley Wissman Stroke Symposium, and the Fen-Lei Chang Neuroscience Symposium.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Master of Science in Nursing program (DNP optional)
- Current or pending state license for Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
- Current or pending certification by an approved professional certification organization
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred.
Certifications as required by specialty which may be but are not limited to:
- BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS/ACLS-EP
- PALS
- ATLS
- CSR
