41- bed unit specializing in Observation Medicine. CTU cares for patients with any diagnosis to rule out life threatening circumstances from the emergency department, as well as post-procedural patients from our endoscopy suites, kidney stone center, and operating rooms. CTU has an incredible team of nurses, techs, ARNPs, physicians, and care managers who work as a team to focus on the needs of our patients collaboratively. Teamwork is crucial on CTU where communication and frequent rounding are necessary to ensure continued care and prioritization is met. We partner closely with the emergency room team and many CTU nurses have a goal to transition to an emergency room nurse.
• Patient Care Model: RNs, Patient Care Technician/Nurse Technicians
• Patient Ratios: 4-5 Patients per RN with PCT/Nurse Technician support
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- Graduate of a school of nursing
- Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements
- EKG
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Professional Certification
