Position Summary The Nursing Director – Emergency Department is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of all nursing and related services within the Emergency Department. This role oversees day-to-day management, ensures regulatory compliance and promotes high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise and evaluate nursing staff to ensure high performance and patient-centered care.
Foster a positive, safe and collaborative work environment.
Implement strategies to improve staff retention and reduce turnover.
Ensure all clinical managers are trained on updated policies and procedures.
Develop and manage departmental budgets effectively.
Assign patient care responsibilities to nursing managers and coordinators.
Promote excellence in clinical outcomes through critical thinking, leadership and adherence to best practices.
Qualifications
Education:
Master’s degree in Nursing required.
OR Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Master’s degree in a related field required.
