Schedule: Days
Shift: 7:00am-7:00pm
Rate: $45.00/hr. during days and $51.00 on weekends.
PRN Agreement:
·Commit to 36 hours per 6-week schedule
·Hours are not guaranteed
·Work 1 weekend shift per 6-week schedule
·Work 1 holiday during commitment period (if app)
·Works at the Killeen facility with minimum competency to work 1 area/unit

The role you’ll contribute:
Performs Direct patient care activities that are developmental and age specific for the population served; coordinates, supervises and directs those providing care at a novice and advanced beginner level. The Registered Nurse is under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and the assigned charge nurses. This care is consistent with the hospital accountabilities, Standards of Practice and in support of the Nursing Service and patient care goals. Actual roles and tasks may vary depending upon the unit or department assigned.

·Provides for delivery of patient care through assessment with identification and prioritization of presenting problems or needs, to facilitate optimum patient care
·Evaluates patients presented to the Emergency Room upon their arrival
oPrioritizes care upon evaluation using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) tool
oAssigns patients to appropriate treatment area based upon observations, vital signs, a brief history and/or assigned ESI triage level
oInforms charge nurse and/or physician of urgent/emergency cases
·Performs, properly documents and reports all procedures and assessments in accordance withdepartmental and hospital policy.
·Assesses for, documents and intervenes when abuse or neglect suspected
·Recognizes potential emergency/life threatening situations and implements preventive measures
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·A graduate of an accredited school of nursing or degree program
·Must have 1 years of ER experience
·Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas or Compact State
·BLS
·ACLS
